MARIENTHAL HOT CHOCOLATE RECIPE
Once you experience our hot chocolate, you'll never drink powdered stuff again! And it's really easy!
Just melt semi-sweet chocolate morsels with 2% milk, a dash of cinnamon and a touch of vanilla. The microwave works well - but just watch it. You may want to melt the chocolate first, then add the additional ingredients.
Mix with your immersion blender or just a regular blender and you'll have a frothy, comforting drink to enjoy. Adjust your chocolate and cinnamon to your own taste - be creative and have fun! You can always add more chocolate it will fix anything (that's our motto here!)

There is plenty to do in the snow. Snowmobile on the trails right outside our door! Uncle Frank's tavern is across the street and JJ's Grill is up the road.
Kissing Bridge is 15 minutes away and Holiday Valley in Ellicottville is only 25 minutes!
Try snowshoeing or even cross country skiing. Erie County Park trails are 3 miles away. Book a horse drawn sleigh ride and cozy down with our "Marienthal Hot Chocolate".

Marienthal will be host to Linda Kemp's watercolor workshop: PAINTING OUTSIDE THE LINES: A POSITIVE APPROACH TO NEGATIVE PAINTING IN WATERCOLOUR
Negative painting is an intriguing, alternative approach that artists can use to create striking, alluring artworks. Working in the negative means that rather than painting the object itself, the shape is created by painting around the object. It's a simple shift in the way you see!!
Linda's workshop runs over a three day weekend, Sept. 19-21. We welcome you with a wine and cheese reception on Thursday evening and you will enjoy Linda's lectures and demonstrations from 9am-4pm Friday through Sunday. Check out our workshops/seminars page for more information.
